REFLECTIONS ON A YEAR OF HOMEOWNERSHIP

One year ago this week my husband and I moved into the third place we’ve called home in South Carolina, but this time we’ve gained the title of home-owner.

In Fayetteville, West Virginia there is a beautiful brick shop on the corner of downtown known as Water Stone, adored by locals and travelers alike. I got the opportunity to showcase The Landmark Project along with other vendors at their 30th anniversary block party last weekend! There was amazing music, food, and stories told from throughout the years.

You can expect a grand reunion of thru-hikers past and present, over a hundred vendors of handmade goods and some of the best outdoor gear in the industry, a packed schedule of live music and events, and a large crowd of trail supporters and hiking enthusiasts.

INTERTWINING DESIGN AND COMMUNITY

I was honored to be asked to speak at the first ever Knot Conference where we explored the intricate bond between design and community, empowering participants to effect meaningful change.

In September of 2023, the 20th anniversary of the Yosemite Facelift was hosted by the Yosemite Climbing Association and my team and I had an amazing time restoring the Ahwahnee Meadow.
