Sydney Bounyavong

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago in a home surrounded by a small forest of ever changing seasons. Nicknamed "Aussie" by my first boss during high school, my name Sydney often drew Australia references โ€” yes, like P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney. In college, amidst brick buildings and expansive Indiana corn fields, I longed for forest trails and mountain tops.

I discovered my passion for screen printing at Indiana Wesleyan University, captivated by the transformation of digital designs into physical prints. Graduating during the pandemic and having a lakeshore micro-wedding were certainly not how I imagined such big events to go, but they were beautiful cherished experiences.

After summers hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, I found my home in Upstate SC, surrounded by the foothills of Appalachia. Here, I work at Dapper Ink, continuing my love for apparel and pre-press design. I also work for The Landmark Project, creating artwork and content that celebrate our amazing National Parks.
