Water Stone Celebration

Fayetteville, WV | 30th Anniversary Party

In Fayetteville, West Virginia there is a beautiful brick shop on the corner of downtown known as Water Stone, adored by locals and travelers alike. I got the opportunity to showcase The Landmark Project along with other vendors at their 30th anniversary block party last weekend! There was amazing music, food, and stories told from throughout the years.

Fayetteville, WV is especially known for its vast New River Gorge National Park and the longest steel bridge in the western hemisphere. The NRG is flocked to by whitewater rafters, mountain bikers, hikers and climbers from all over the world. If you ever get the opportunity to visit this small town tucked in the Blue Ridge Mountains, I highly recomend it!

The Landmark Project is an online store but we have partnered with hundreds of shops throughout the U.S. that stock our products. Like Water Stone, we are in Outdoor Shops, National Park Stores, as well as all REI’s! Every time I get to see our designs in a shop, especially ones I got to work on, my heart swells. There’s such a difference from seeing digital mockups on a screen compared to real physical products within stores such as this.

My friend/coworker Belle and I got breakfast the next morning at this adorable former church-turned coffeehouse right in the heart of downtown. It’s stained glass windows and rustic charm blend the past with the present, cultivating community and love for all who step inside. I hope to return to West Virginia again soon to take in more of it’s community, vast landscape, and beautiful National Park. Happy anniversary, Water Stone!

Weekly Wonder

Reading: Practicing the Way | John Mark Comer

I’ve been a fan of John Mark Comer and his words since college after reading Garden City and The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry. Practicing the Way opened my eyes to understanding the early years of Christ’s ministry, His disciples, and what their practices look like in my day-to-day life. Would highly recommend!

Watching: Fixer Upper — The Lakehouse | Magnolia Network

For the 10th Anniversary of Fixer Upper, Chip and Joanna Gains have taken on The Lakehouse! I’ve adored their show and what these two are all about since their first season of Fixer back in 2014. So excited to have them back and inspiring us with new creative intersiors!

Listening: Alchemy | Johnnyswim

One of my favorite bands, Johnnyswim, released their new song Alchemy this week along with a video that gives me the chills every time I watch it. Whether you believe in soul ties, fate, or destiny, there seems to be something chemical, sewn into the fabric of the universe, when you fine the one you’re meant to be with.
